In July the four CPCU branches had a little contest between them to see who could raise the most money for PERF by selling cute little paper PERF mailboxes to CPCU members. The effervescent crew at the Charlotte Branch won by a landslide although very good effort was made by High Point, Winston-Salem and our newest branch crew...Greensboro. Over $1,000 was raised and is going directly to PERF (Postal Employees Relief Fund).
In September our CEO Joy Watts, was pleased to present the check for $1,116 made out to PERF to Mid-Carolinas District Manager/Lead Executive David C. Fields, Sr. Mr. Fields accepted the check with thanks on behalf of the many postal employees who turn to the Relief Fund in times of need. “With the recent damage in the gulf and other states, this is certainly a significant contribution to the Fund. PERF is a wonderful resource for postal employees during their times of need.”
